GCFM Scholarships

GCFM Scholarships
The Garden Club Federation of Maine offers two scholarships for students undertaking post secondary education:

The Garden Club Federation of Maine Horticulture Scholarship
(for 3rd and 4th year undergraduates and
Masters students)
$3300 in 2011-2012

The Mary Lou Marks Smith Scholarship
(for a community college student)
$1000

Winners of the GCFM Horticulture Scholarship are automatically forwarded for consideration for one of the 35 National Garden Club, Inc Scholarships which in 2011-2012 will be valued at $3500.  For that reason, all applicants for the GCFM Horticulture Scholarship are asked to fill out application forms for the NGC Scholarships.

All scholarship winners are invited to formally receive their award at the annual Scholarship Banquet which is held at the annual GCFM Spring Convention held each year in mid June.
