July

Kingsbrae Garden, a mature horticultural garden in St. Andrews, New Brunswick has been a destination garden for years.  In fact, it is one of Canada’s Top Ten Public Gardens!  It is a feast for the eyes with wonderful display and themed gardens.  Old and new gardening styles are used throughout the garden.   One can find a White Garden, a Rose Garden, a Knot Garden, and Cottage Gardens, to name but a few. Newer styles are reflected in their  Gravel Garden, Secret Garden and Ornamental Grass Gardens.

Participants will need a valid passport to go into Canada.

For more information, see the Kingsbrae web site:   http://kingsbraegarden.com/

Don't miss an opportunity to be inspired!

Join Michaeleen Ward, GCFM Visiting Gardens Chairman, on an international trip, a Rhine River cruise in July this year, which includes in its itinerary the German national Flower show, the "Federal Horticultural Show Koblenz 2011", or "BUGA", as it is known there.  Koblenz is a charming town of narrow lanes, in the Upper Middle Rhine Valley, dating back to Roman times.  There will be magnificent floral displays, as well as cultural highlights and exhibits throughout the 120 acres of the Garden Show.

Please pass on the information to your GC members - there just might be someone that this trip would really appeal to - (especially someone who might be hesitant to travel on her own.) Contact Michaeleen for details about this tour. visitinggardens@mainegardenclubs.org
