Club Information The Brewer Garden & Bird Club is celebrating 85 years!!! The club currently has 22 Active Members, 6 Associate Members and 2 Honorary Members over 90 years of age. The club was organized June 20, 1933 and became a Federated Garden Club in February 1, 1934.

The club has a very active and popular award winning Junior Garden Club. The Brewer Junior Garden Growers. We maintain a Blue Star Marker on Wilson Street (Route 1-A) in Brewer, as well as a planter at the Brewer Boat Ramp.

In July of 2016 we teamed with the Purple Iris Foundation to plant "The Triangle Garden" between Wilson and State Streets in Brewer.

The club adopted two planters behind the Brewer Middle School in the late summer of 2018. In spring of 2019,we will be planting a new garden at the School around their neon sign on Parkway South.

We also have a member of our club who, through dedication and perseverance, helped to relocate, plant and re-dedicate former Bangor Garden Club''s Blue Star Marker with other Penobscot District board members.

At every meeting we learn about horticulture, birds and our environment, as well as what we plan to do to promote education in our community.

Annual fundraisers include a plant sale in June that we hold at the Brewer Historical Society, 199 Wilson Street. The club has a bake sale at "Brewer Days" in September at the Brewer Auditorium, 203 State Street.

Please note that if schools are closed due to bad weather in the winter months, our club does not meet that day.

We'd love to have you join us!
