Club Information Founded in 1931, our garden club serves the Harpswell-Brunswick area of Mid-coast Maine.

We maintain gardens at Harpswell Historic Park and Harpswell Town Hall. We have restored and maintain the Union Church in Harpswell, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1989.

The club helps maintain the Memorial and Friendship Gardens on the grounds of the former Brunswick Naval Air Station.

The club maintains two scholarships. The Arthur C. Clayton Scholarship at the University of Maine in Orono honors a past member of the garden club, and is awarded annually to a horticulture student at the University.

Also, we contribute annually to the Merrymeeting Audubon Society's Camp Scholarship Program.
