Club Information The Hampden Garden Club was organized in 1937 and has been active in the community ever since.

The club maintains six beautiful garden areas in Hampden and sponsors various community activities, including an annual perennial plant and pie sale and an educational program in conjunction with the local schools.

A major concern of the club is preserving and restoring Harmony Hall, its historic building built in 1828. Club meetings provide an opportunity to learn good gardening and conservation practices and enjoy great fellowship.

The active club members, both men and women, represent a wide range of ages and interests, and enthusiastically welcome new members.

Club Programs Unfortunately, due to COVID 19, the last club meeting we were able to hold was in February 2020.

In May and early June, we did gather in small groups and prepare perennials for our annual plant sale. This was held, with precautions in place, in mid June outside Harmony Hall.

Soon after that, it was decided that no meetings could be scheduled for the foreseeable future. The town gardens were tended during the summer by members working alone. During the fall, group emails kept members connected by sharing photos of their activities.

As of early 2021, COVID 19 still holds us hostage.
