ZOOM PRESENTATION – Ecological Restoration & Sustainable Landscaping in Midcoast Maine

February 4, 2026 at 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

All GCFM members are invited to join a ZOOM presentation by Amy Thomas on Ecological Restoration & Sustainable Landscaping in Midcoast Maine. The program will cover invasive plant removal and habitat restoration.  Amy is a restoration ecologist with a master’s degree in ecological restoration and native rangeland management from Texas A&M.  She’s worked on properties a few square feet to 25,000 acres, preserving and enhancing biodiversity for wildlife.  She is a nationally certified Green Infrastructure Practitioner, Co-Founder and President of Wild Ones Midcoast Maine, technical advisor for the Camden Garden Club’s native plant garden, public speaker, founder and organizer of the Annual Camden Native Plant Sale & Celebration, serves on the Executive committee and advisory board for the Curtis Island Lighthouse Foundation for island ecology, and owns Keystone Native Habitat & Landscape.  Her former property has been featured on PBS TV and YouTube, and she is the 2025 winner of the Sustainable Landscape Category, Green Home + Design Awards Presented by Green & Healthy Maine HOMES magazine, for a recent client collaboration in Camden.  She considers it a privilege and honor to live and play in the wilds of Midcoast Maine.

There is no cost for this presentation, however, registration is required to obtain the ZOOM link for the program.  RSVP to Leslie Spieth (President’s Project Chair) at [email protected] with your name, garden club, and email address.  Registration deadline for this program is February 1st.
