The GCFM Judges Council will hold design workshops in two locations this year: St. Mary’s Parish House in Falmouth and the Viles House in Augusta. GCFM members may register to participate in one or all of the workshops. Classes will be 10 a.m.- noon.

Workshops will begin in June. Each participant will need to bring: their own plant material (cut branches, perennials, annuals, etc.), hand pruners or clippers, a container (vase, pin holder, kenzan, Oasis, chicken wire, floral tape, etc. Class 1 will cover selecting and conditioning plant material, choosing appropriate containers and mechanics. Class 2 will cover the principals of design. Class 3 will cover drying plant material. Class 4 will cover using accessories. At the end of each class, a flower show judge will show a sample of the design to be discussed and made in the next month’s class.

Please print the form below and check the box(es) next to the workshop(s) you want. Keep a copy for your records. Cut off the registration form and send it with a check payable to Judges Council GCFM c/o Linda Frinsko, JC Treasurer, 92 Little Acres Dr., Cumberland, ME 04021. Cost is $10 per class or the series of four classes for $35. Once your check is received, you will receive an acknowledgement email with additional information. Online registration is not available for these workshops. Class sizes are limited, deadline for applications is May 31, 2025.

Please note that classes at the Falmouth Library are handicapped accessible while classes at the Viles House will be held in the carriage house which is not as easily accessible.
