It was November 2016, we had just moved to the area and knew not one person in town. At my first meeting as a visitor to the Seacoast Garden Club, I was warmly greeted and people introduced themselves during the coffee hour. Others said, "Come join us," as we listened and learned from the guest speaker. With each monthly meeting, it was the same joyful experience and it continues to this day. I had never expected to find such a warm and welcoming community in such a short period of time.
I joined the Veazie Garden Club in the summer of 2021. I’m so glad to have found such a wonderful group of garden enthusiasts who are willing to share their knowledge, friendship and, of course, plants!
I joined a garden club after attending the GCFM’s landscape design school and loved it. The information I have learned about plants through the membership has been an incredible boon to my gardening skills! And I never thought I was interested in flower arranging, until this wonderful group of skilled artists showed me a thing or two. The knowledge, fun, and friendships make membership one of the best decisions I ever made.
